Revelation 3:21 – To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

You see from this verse that the one who overcomes is promised that they will share the glory of Christ’s throne and reign with Him over the millennial earth. If you choose to follow Jesus in temporal humility, rejection, and suffering you will also follow Him in eternal glory. As we learned this past Sunday, the posture of Jesus SITTING at the right hand of God signifies resting from His finished work upon the cross.

Challenge:

The thing about God is He does not ask you to overcome in your own strength, but to rely upon Him to carry you through. You see, for most of us, we long to rest from our work before we have completed the job. We give up way too early. For you to be an overcomer means you have to continue upon the path that is set before you to the end. You must endure whatever may come while being strengthened by God through every storm. Your challenge this week is to take one thing you are having a hard time with in your life and ask God to help you through the struggle or situation. Confess you are weak and need His strength, confess you are weary and need Him to revive you. With His help you will endure and you will overcome. Your rest is coming, be patient.
