1 Peter 3:15 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

The idea here is not necessarily for you to justify a theological position, but instead to give a very simple explanation for the hope you possess. The one good thing about tough times is they give you an opportunity to shine brightly in what would otherwise be darkness.

Challenge:

The bible is filled with scriptures on the hope of those who call upon the Lord. Do you possess great hope in the Lord today? Looking around at the world you will not find much hope. But in the Lord there is always an abundance of hope. Your challenge this week is to make a list of all the reasons you have hope in Jesus Christ. Then you will be ready to share these reasons with others who need hope as the opportunities arise.
