Mark 16:15 – And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
What Jesus is saying here is, “As you are going throughout the world, preach the gospel to everyone.” In other words, the focus is not on where you are to go, but on what you are to do. Whether it be across the ocean or across the street, around the world or around your neighborhood, on foreign soil or on the ground you’re currently standing on, wherever you are, you are to share the gospel. What does it actually mean to share the gospel? The gospel is comprised of three simple but powerful components. The first component of the gospel is that Jesus Christ died for our sins. The second component is that Jesus was buried and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. The third and final component of the gospel is that if we believe in Him we will have ever-lasting life. That is the gospel and that is what you are to be sharing. But do not miss this, you are to share this with everyone. Jesus does not leave out one single person. Every human being on the face of this planet is capable of receiving the gospel of Jesus Christ. All can be saved.
Challenge:
Do we limit the reach of the gospel? In other words, are there certain individuals or certain types of people we deem unsaveable or even avoidable? God forbid! He died for all. This is a great reminder to you and me, that His hand is never to short to reach someone’s hard heart and save them from their sins. I can still remember the days when I myself didn’t believe there was a God in heaven, thinking that this earthly life was all there was and when I died it was all over. So I figured I had to make the best of this life because there was nothing beyond the grave. Thank God I was wrong. Thank God He gives the option of living beyond this life and the ability to spend eternity with Him in heaven. I challenge you this coming week to see people differently. To look at every person as one who God wants to bring into His family. To allow the Holy Spirit to enable you to share with them your experiences with God and then invite them to begin a relationship with Jesus. Perhaps God would allow you to share the three components of the gospel with someone who needs to get saved. How great that would be! So, share your faith with every creature this week and then watch God bless you for being obedient to His word.
