Matthew 12:50 – For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.

It is true you cannot choose your own family. But the Lord Jesus did that very thing. If you believe in Him which God sent, He embraces you as His own family. Hebrews says He is not ashamed to call us brethren (Hebrews 2:11). He says, “Behold, My brothers, My sisters, My mother—those who hear My word, those who do the will of the Father, believing in Me—they are My family.” Before the world began, Jesus chose us to live with Him eternally. That is truly amazing! So what is the will of the Father? That you hear the Lord Jesus Christ, that you accept Him, that you believe in Him and be obedient to His word.

Challenge:

As a follower of Jesus Christ you want to be obedient to the Lord and be in the Fathers will at all times. You can be assured that you are doing the Fathers will if you keep His commandments found in the scriptures. Your challenge this week is to practice and remain in your heavenly Fathers will. The word tells you to love your enemies. Are you loving your enemies? The world tells you to forgive those who sin against you. Are you being forgiving? The word tells you to be gentle and lowly at heart. Are you? The words says to be angry but not to sin in your anger. How are you doing with anger in your life? Many Christians are searching for the Lords will for their lives as opposed to doing the Lords will as the word says. God will reveal His higher purposes for you as you are found walking in His ways as outlined in the bible. God bless you.
