Luke 16:10 – He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

Small acts of selfishness now will produce greater selfishness later. Likewise, small acts of generosity now will produce greater generosity later. If you are faithful in your earthly stewardship of what is least (money), then you will be faithful in handling what is much (spiritual treasures). In other words, if you act unrighteously and poorly in using the money which God has entrusted to you then you will also act unrighteously when eternal considerations are at stake. Has God found you to be faithful in the things He has given to you?

Challenge:

You might be tempted to say “Well, He has not given me enough to be faithful with.” or “I do not even make enough money to meet my own needs, how can I give to God?” If you are waiting to make more money in order to give to God, you will never get there. Trust me, if the habit is not created while you have a little, the habit will not suddenly be there if you make more. Your challenge this week is to be faithful in every area of your life. Be faithful in your finances, be faithful in your relationships at home, be faithful in your responsibilities at work. If you can be faithful in these areas, then God will trust you with spiritual matters in His kingdom. May God bless you.
