Revelation 3:19 – As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

The Lord’s love for the church is seen in the fact that He rebukes and chastens it. If He did not care, He would not bother. With tenderness, He calls on the Laodicean church to be zealous and repent. This word zealous means “to be hot.” This is His last message to the church. He says, “Be zealous.” Be hot and get on fire for the Lord. He is ordering this church to forsake its lukewarm state, and He says, “Repent.” To get on fire for God you must first repent of your sin and be freed from any burdens that may hold you back.

Challenge:

Has God been working on a specific area of your life that He wants you to grow in? Things that may be holding you back from your fullest potential. This weeks challenge is to realize the Love of God that is not satisfied with the way you are right now and how He desires more for your life. Listen to the Lord as He brings correction and discipline into your life so that you can ask for forgiveness and move forward. Become more zealous for God this week than you ever have before and watch the Holy Spirit use you to touch the life of someone else around you. Do something for someone you have never done before. Do something for someone else that you would like to be done for you. God bless you.
