Hebrews 2:18 – For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

He can help you go through temptation because He has been there Himself. Never tempted to the point of sinning, but to the point that temptation was before Him. Satan appeared to Him and sought to appeal to Him by the external. But Jesus could never be tempted to sin by lusts and passions from within, for there was no sin in Him and nothing to respond to sin. By comparison, it pains us to resist temptation, it pained Him to be tempted.

Challenge:

Jesus knows exactly what it is you are going through today. He is aware of the trials and the difficulties that are before you and He can relate to the things that are holding you back. But even better, He can help you get through them without compromising your character. He knows what you need to do so you can find victory in your life. Your challenge this week is to look to the Holy Spirit to show you what you must do to overcome temptation and sin. He will show you how to resist that addiction that has been weighing on you for years. He will tell you the drastic measures you need to take to avoid lustful thoughts and prideful attitudes. Allow Him to come along side of you and give you strength. God bless you.
