Jeremiah 1:19 – “They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.”

Jeremiah preached an unpopular message and his ministry was hard, he was all alone and no one listened to his warnings. But God was with Jeremiah every step of the way and it did not matter if he wanted to quit because God’s words burned inside of him. This verse confirmed that the tough times were coming and the opposition that was sure to be in his future. God was encouraging him to stay strong because He was with him and He would fight for him.

Challenge:

Do you feel like you are in a battle today? Perhaps your days never seem to get any easier? Jesus promised that you would face tough times on this earth, but He also wants you to be encouraged that He has already overcome the world! Your job is to remain close to Him, because He has already won the battle and He will give you strength to endure. Your challenge this week is to set your focus on the Lord who will carry you through and not be consumed with the troubles that are before you. Place your trust in the Lord and let Him deliver you safely each day. Just as with Jeremiah, He will never leave your side.
