Men’s Conference – reFOCUS
August 7 – August 8
Join us we we gather to refocus our hearts and lives upon the Lord. There are too many distractions around us and because we have a limited amount of time in this life we don’t want to waste a minute. Come be redirected, refreshed, encouraged, and challenged to maximize your life for Christ. In the words of CT Studd, “Only one life, t’will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
THEME: reFOCUS: Fix Your Eyes. Finish Well.
SCRIPTURE INSPIRATION: Philippians 3:13-16 – “13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.”
SPEAKERS AND SESSIONS: Our speakers this year are Pastor Sandy Adams, CC Stone Mountain, Pastor Frank Ramseur CC Chattanooga, Pastor Mark Kirk CC Knoxville, Pastor John Randall from Calvary South OC in San Clemente, CA., as well as and Pastor Tim Romero from CC Columbia. Our sessions are as follows:
FRIDAY, August 7th: Doors open at 5:30pm, worship beings at 6:30pm.
Session One: reFOCUS Upward – Looking to Jesus. Shifting focus from earthly problems to heavenly provisions, anchoring in Christ. He is the How to our What! – Pastor Sandy Adams
SATURDAY, August 8th: Doors open at 8:00AM, worship begins at 9:30.
Session Two: reFOCUS Inward – Personal Holiness. Examining one’s own heart and removing obstacles to growth through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. – Pastor Frank Ramseur
Session Three: reFOCUS Onward – Moving Forward. Persevering through past mistakes, and present challenges. We are not to give up, but press on! – Pastor Mark Kirk
Session Four: reFOCUS Outward – Mission and Service. Sharing the gospel and serving others. – Pastor John Randall
Session Five: reFOCUS Upward – Eternal Focus. Keeping the ultimate goal in mind (Heaven). – Pastor Tim Romero
