John 15:26 – “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”

The Helper is the Holy Spirit that God sends to all believers who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Spirits great mission is to testify concerning Christ. The Holy Spirit does not seek to occupy believers with Himself, but rather He directs the attention of both sinner and saint to the Lord of glory. The Holy Spirit will lead you into truth because He is the Spirit of truth. He cannot lie, will not lie and will only lead you in the right path that will be of the greatest benefit to yourself and bring the most glory to God.

Challenge:

This is the time of year when we could all use a little more help. How overwhelming it can become when you look at all you have to do in a day. But, knowing you are never ever alone in this world is a great reminder. You have a powerful Helper to assist you in all of your experiences in this life. Do you rely on Him and depend on Him regularly? When Jesus walked upon the earth He was sure to stay connected to the Father through frequent pray and reliance on the Holy Spirt. This is why Jesus made sure to tell His disciples that they too would receive the Holy Spirit so their lives would be powerful agents for good. Your challenge this week is to rely more heavily on your Helper the Holy Spirit. His primary focus is to draw you closer in your personal relationship to Jesus and He is always there for you, especially when things get tough. So I challenge you to work more closely with your personal Helper this week. God bless you.
