Acts 2:4 – And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

For the first time in history the Holy Spirit was given to man NEVER again to removed from their lives. God through the Holy Spirit would be a constant presence available to everyone who called upon the name of Jesus as their Savior. What a glorious experience to have received the Spirit in such an amazing way. The bible tells us that just before they received the Holy Spirit that the place the disciples were gathered in had such a sound as a might rushing wind and it filled the whole house. Notice, after the filing of the Spirit they began to speak in tongues “as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Tongues can be a result of the filling of the Spirit, but they are not the only result. As the Spirit wishes to gift you that is how He chooses to fill you and is totally dependent upon the gift you have the greatest need for at that moment. Tongues, faith, revelation, and the like are all needed today in the lives of all believers. The Spirit knows what is best for you.

Challenge:

Do you need a fresh rushing wind in your life and to be filled up anew? Do you need a new filling of the Holy Spirit in your heart? The Spirit is always available to you in a greater capacity and all you have to do is simply ask for the Spirit to fill you. He wants to fill you, He wants to use your life and He wants you to experience Him in a more powerful way. This week your challenge is to believe that God not only wants to fill you, but that He will fill you when you ask Him to. In other words, ASK Him today, ask Him right now to fill you and enable you to speak the glories of God or give someone a word of knowledge or even be given the gift of healing to heal yourself or another that needs a touch from God this Christmas. Trust me, one you experience the Spirit’s power in your life, you will not stop asking for a fresh presence of the Spirit in your life. Merry Christmas to you and God bless you.
