Psalm 55:22 – Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

David came to realize that the best course to take in times of troubles is not to run away from them, but to cast the burden of them on the Lord. David was great at trusting God with all of his life. He gave his enemies over to God and you can too. Romans 12:19 says, “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.” Hand over to the Lord those in your life that have hurt you. You will find that the Lord does a better job in dealing with your enemies than you can. He knows just how to do it. Casting your burden upon the Lord and trusting He will take care of everything if not always easy, it is certainly necessary. God desires all of His people to rely on Him and entrust Him with everything that may come into their lives. This level of trust takes time and experience of seeing God work all things out for good. Time and time again, we see in God’s word just how wonderfully He provided for His children. He will provide for you too.

Challenge:

Just how much effort do you put into difficult situations or try and deal with the tough relationships in your life? How many of your own efforts do you try, before you turn things over to God? I have seen the Lord transform so many of the circumstances that I have willingly placed into His hands. He knows just how best to remedy the troubles I find myself struggling with, because He sees them from an eternal perspective. So, based on this week’s verse I am sure you have guessed your challenge for this week, give the Lord all your hardships and see how He takes care of you through each and every one of them. Perhaps you are stressing out about how you will be able pay your rent this month? Place your worry into the Lords hands and trust in Him. Do you have a friendship that is strained because of a disagreement or argument you have had with them? God will help you reconcile this relationship and show you exactly what He needs you to do next. God will do His part and He will let you know what He wants you to do, if in fact, He wants you to do anything. God bless you.
