John 15:16 – You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
You should be going and bearing fruit in your life because Jesus has appointed ALL to this work. Fruit may mean the by product of the Christian life which is evident by the fruit of the Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, … (Galatians 5:22-23). But it may also mean souls won for the Lord Jesus Christ because there is a close link between the two. Interestingly, it is only as you are manifesting the first kind of fruit in your life that you will ever be able to bring forth the second kind out of your life.
Challenge:
Have you ever thought of yourself as a fruit? Funny, but so TRUE! You are the fruit of others investing in your life, praying for you and leading you to Christ. Loving you to the point of accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. This weeks challenge is for you to be actively engaged in healthy fruit production. Think of those individuals who need Jesus, those that you have ministered to in the past and follow up on their progress. Look for the evident signs of those lost and hurting around you and be bold enough to strike up a conversation with them. You may have the opportunity to lead them to the Lord! Go out this week and bear MUCH fruit for the Kingdom! God bless you.
