1 John 1:7 – But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

If you live your life by the truth of God’s Word, then you can have fellowship with the Lord and with fellow Christians. One of the ways you know you have fellowship with the Lord is that you have fellowship with other people. That is, if you are truly embracing the truth of God;s Word, you won’t gossip about, find fault with, or put down others. You find all of God’s forgiveness based on the blood of His Son shed at Calvary. As long as there is true openness to the truth of God’s Word, your failures are under the cleansing power of the blood of Christ. Only in the Savior’s work on the cross can there be any fellowship between imperfect people and the infinitely perfect God.

Challenge:

Have all your sins been cleansed away? Have you been completely washed by the blood of Jesus Christ? To answer these questions with an absolute YES and AMEN, you must be confident that you are obeying the Will of God as well as following the Word of God. The light of God’s Word exposes sin that is in your life, so you can have it cleansed away through repentance. Your challenge this week is to lay your sin before the truth of God and be free to walk upright, bold and confident in the forgiveness He has made possible for you through Jesus Christ. Then enjoy unhindered fellowship with Him and others around you. God bless you always.
