Colossians 1:3 – We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you
In this verse we find Paul falling to his knees in thanks and prayer for this church. I want to remind you that Paul is praying for people he had never met before. Do you find it difficult sometimes to remember to pray for your relatives or your friends before the throne of grace? Think of the prayer list the Apostle Paul must have kept! He prayed not only for those he knew but also for Christians in faraway places whose names had been mentioned to him by others.
Challenge:
Your challenge this week is to make a commitment to pray each day for at least one missionary, one family member, one friend and one person who needs to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Thank God for them and ask God to bless them in such a way that they would know His strong presence in their lives. What a wonderful opportunity you have to lift up a prayer to God through Jesus Christ for others and to ask Him to bless them. Everyone could use that kind of prayer.
Grace be with you,
