Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

In this verse, you have an invitation to ask and to keep on asking; to seek and to keep on seeking; to knock and to keep on knocking. God is committed to cultivating a deeper relationship with you that will bring you closer to Him. Wisdom and strength for life will be given to you if you earnestly and persistently pray for it. God is saying to you, “I want you to be constantly asking, constantly seeking, constantly knocking because you need this exercise in order to develop effective spiritual communication skills. And as you do, I will take care of you, I will guide you and I will give you the wisdom you need.” God welcomes your prayers, and He urges you to come to Him continuously and persistently. He loves hearing from you and He enjoys answering your prayers. Do not let anything get in the way of you coming to the Lord in prayer. He has invited you to come constantly to Him as well as expecting Him to answer your requests according to His will and purposes.

Challenge:

Confidently coming to God in prayer must be based on the perfect life of Jesus, accompanied with the understanding that you have real needs. Emotional needs that require uplifting, physical needs that call for healing and financial needs that necessitate good stewardship and blessing. This week’s verse reminds you to never give up on God and to come to Him so He can show you the way through any situation you may be facing. Your challenge this week is to come to God in confident believing prayer and ask Him to help you with all your needs. Do you find it difficult to arrive on time to the appointments you have scheduled? Ask God to help you better organize your day in order for you to be where you are supposed to be at the time you are supposed to be there. Perhaps you are feeling like you have more things to do in a day than there are hours to get them all accomplished? Pray that God would help you tackle one thing at a time, and give you the strength to complete every task you have quickly and productively. God is there for you and He wants to help you. Ask, seek, knock and He will answer. The Lord bless you always.

Have a God centered week,
