Pastor Larry Mitchell

I grew up in the 60’s when many young people were questioning the faith and the values of the previous generations. After years of disillusionment, the Lord Jesus called me to Himself on Thanksgiving Day, 1979. I have had many ups and downs in my walk since that day, but the Lord has been faithful to hold me close to Him. The Lord called me to serve Him in a church planting ministry in 1984 which resulted in me pastoring a small urban congregation in Birmingham, AL until 1991. In 1997 I moved to Nashville to pursue my passion for writing songs. In 2002 the Lord led us to Calvary Chapel, Brentwood on the church’s first Sunday morning service! The Lord has touched me deeply in my years at CCB which has encouraged me to seek Him more and more in every aspect of my life. He is faithful to complete that work which He has begun in me!
