Tithes, Offerings and Options for Giving
As a local church, Calvary Chapel Brentwood depends on God for its operating budget. Though God is not limited to one way of providing, He most often uses those who consider Calvary Chapel Brentwood “home” and those who are ministered to by Calvary Chapel Brentwood to help meet the needs of the ministry.
Calvary Chapel Brentwood doesn’t pass an offering plate during services. Instead we provide an Offering Box at the rear of the sanctuary for tithes, offerings, and gifts of worship to the Lord, as well as providing this method of online giving.
Other ways to give include contacting your bank and arranging automated bill pay services sent to Calvary Chapel Brentwood, and giving by mail to the Calvary Chapel Brentwood mailing address at PO Box 562, Brentwood, TN 37024. Calvary Chapel Brentwood is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, therefore gifts are tax deductible.
Calvary Chapel Brentwood does not send or receive money from a denominational headquarters. We and those who attend Calvary Chapel Brentwood do however support missionaries and other ministries.
We hope that each gift you give is a response of obedience and an act of worship. Jesus said in Matthew 6:21 “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
The Apostle Paul noted that God loves a “cheerful giver.” (1 Corinthians 9:7) We encourage all to, “Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness …” (1 Chronicles 16:29) recognizing that, “He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” (2 Corinthians 9:10)
